I’m a newbie, wanting to get into podcasting. Do you have a list of podcasting hardware & software discussed on this roundtable #2? Thanks. SC

hey guys.
love the new discussion forum, i listen to it while driving. have been listening to adam on maccast for a while and thanks to him for promoting this cast. just a comment on the software review, you guys mentioned some great apps, some that i use and some that i’ve been turned onto. but i wanted to plug for the guys at barebones, they have some great applications and have been on the forefront of this switch to intel, recompling their source code to universal. i just love textwrangler, it is a vast app with so many options. i use it exclusively for xml files, especially related to my website. and what’s better, they just dropped the price to $0. that’s right it’s freeware now.
anyway, thanks and keep up the good work.

Hi guys,
Regarding running Windows on the new Macs, given the large number of us that have purchased VirtualPC, there are programs and applications we need, not want, that’ll only run in Windows and we don’t want to buy a separate machine.
Some examples: There are well over 400,000 licensed pilots in the U.S. who need flight planning software, Jeppesen navigation, approach, departure and airport documents, and GPS database update services that are only available for Windows. I have no idea how many Realtors there are in the U.S., but a vast majority of the local MLS Board access software is only available for Windows. At least with these two examples, we are dealing with subscription-based, secure services (hopefully) and aren’t exposing ourselves to the wide, wide world of Windows maladies.
As you can see, these are narrow services of necessity and truly wish they were available for the Mac.
Keep up the good work,
Jack
