This episode stunk! It’s supposed to be a roundtable not give them a list of questions to answer then add in Tim “asking” the questions later. That made it boring and way too friggin’ long.
A general note about the show, they’re all way too long. Take a page out of MacNotable’s book, Chuck interviews the person and keeps it short and interesting. If the interview runs long he splits it up into 2 episodes.

Brilliant! This was why I started listening to podcasts. I took a full page of notes. Thank you.

This is not a roundtable discussion. What a letdown. This format of different interviews with the same questions totally undermines the effectiveness of a roundtable. In a roundtable discussion, issues are bounced back and forth in an almost debate-like fashion. That can’t happen in separate interview.
Adam, if you can’t get Steve, Tim and Joseph together to make a podcast, then get other people that can commit to it. It doesn’t need to be every two weeks; once a month is fine. Leave the interviews for everyone else’s personal podcast.
Make it a real roundtable discussion or change the name of the podcast and discontinue the roundtable. Possibly, give it over to other people that would like to invest time into it since the members of the current roundtable discussion seemingly do not.

I was going to give the new format a few episodes before I decided on whether to continue listening. Turns out, only two episodes were enough. The new format is a far cry from the greatness that Mac Roundtable was, period.
The Mac Roundtable IS Adam, Steve, Tim and Joseph TOGETHER. If I wanted to listen to any one of the roundtable hosts individually, I’d listen to their podcast.
I’d much rather see Mac Roundtable episodes in my playlist less frequently and know the quality is where it should be rather than get shows on time that are simply pale imitations.

This was not a bad show, but it’s not the Mac Roundtable. It’s an interview show.
I agree with Dave. I’d rather hear the show less frequently and have it be a roundtable, even if only 3 of the 4 hosts can show up.

i liked this show but i must agree-it was not a roundtable..not enough interaction more of a one on one interview. not a bad ep. at all..just not the same kind of format everyone is used to.

Before I read these comments I was thinking that I really enjoyed this episode. I wrote down at least 2 or 3 little apps I’m going to give a spin myself.
While I agree that it was not a “roundtable” discussion by definition, Tim explained at the beginning why he approached his turn at the helm in this way and I respect their decision to try a different approach with the show — even if it means a few bumps along the way.
No doubt we’ll see many variations on the roundtable theme in the coming weeks and I’ll be very interested to check them out as well.

Honestly, I’d rather hear answers from experts talking about specific topics with time to think and respond than a bunch of off the cuff remarks and rehashing of the news that I already saw online from a roundtable of podcasters – no offense.
I thought your guests had well thought out responses and it kept my interest during my commute. I’d love to hear interviews like this more.
Thank you for your efforts!
