Hi.
Enjoyed the Podcast but amused to hear that “CF Cards are obsolete”
I don`t think Nikon & Canon, used by 99% of all Professional photographers (shooting digital), have been told yet!
Both companies use CF cards in all of their high end Professional cameras. Lexar are continuing to update & improve their CF cards at an impressive rate. I use them exclusively. Their performance is now very impressive!
I own a Nikon D3s, D800 & D700. All use CF cards although it is fair to point out The D800 uses an SD Card as a backup to The CF card. The very latest Nikon D4 & both the top end Canon`s the EOS 1DC & EOS 1DX use CF Cards exclusively as well.
SD cards are generally not regarded as user friendly by Pros. I think the size & durability are a couple of the reasons.
May have been better to just say CF Cards are primarily used in high end DSLr`s.
